How to Use This Calendar
-
Each ride will begin and end at Two Bikes Chattanooga, 1810 E. Main St., unless otherwise noted.
-
Each ride will include the total amount of elevation covered during the ride. For the first ten years I rode a bike, I never used a headunit (bike computer) so I had no real understanding of elevation in regards to how hard the ride would be.
In my personal experience a ride with:0-33 feel of elevation per mile is relatively flat and can be considered casual.
33-66 feet of elevation per mile is starting to get “hilly” and you can expect to spend some meaningful time riding uphill on the route.
66 feet of elevation per mile or more is going to be a challenging route with significant hills and probably isn’t going to feel like a casual ride. Also, this is where you might get awesome views, cool remote roads, or fun singletrack/gravel!
-
Please bring a lock, water bottle, small tool kit, spare tube, front and rear lights, and a helmet to any ride hosted through Two Bikes.
-
Helmets are required on any Two Bikes ride.
-
This ride is welcome to all ages, races, ethnicities, genders, and sexual expressions. Come ride bikes y’all!

Once you're unpacked, Saturday will be filled to the brim with activites. Bring your parts bin for the Parts Swap, your best bike for the Bike Show, your curiosity for the workshops, and end the day with a presentation from the ultra-endurance cyclist, Lael Wilcox. After coffee on Sunday we'll be hosting a variety of multi-surface rides showing off some of the best kept secrets in the region!
All proceeds from Bike Camp go to Two Bikes Chattanooga. Two Bikes takes donated bikes and transforms them into practical transportation for underserved community members in the greater Chattanooga area. Learn more about Two Bikes at www.twobikeschattanooga.com

How to Buy a Bike from Facebook Marketplace
Learn the secrets of buying used bikes!
We've all been there. Sitting at home (let's be honest, on the toilet) scrolling through Facebook Marketplace and then it pops up, a Bridgestone MB-1, Trek 613, or Specialized Streetstomper for $175. It's a 45 minute drive, but dang is that a good deal. Or is it?
Come to our first winter workshop, and we'll help you answer that question. We'll equipt you with all the basic knowledge, so you'll know the difference between a screaming deal and a nightmare project.

Velo Coffee: Cloudland Campout
By Velo Coffee
Full Info and Tickets Here
The Cloudland Campout is an in-town, overnight trail ride with summercamp vibes. Think of it as the official going away party for winter.
The River to Clouds Trail is a unique network of bikepath, gravel and dirt connecting downtown Chattanooga with Cloudland Canyon State Park on top of Lookout Mountain...and it's one of the raddest things in Chattanooga! The route for this trip is a slightly modified version of the R.T.C. trail that sprinkles in a little extra pavement and gravel. However, the majority of the route is on dirt, either single track or double track, and none of it very technical.
We will meet and start at Velo Coffee the morning of April 6 and ride as a group the approximately 35-mile route via the Riverwalk, the Guild Trail and a series of dirt trails known to many by the CCT.
We recommend riding a mountain bike or your most comfortable bike with fat tires. Suspension is encouraged and fat tires are necessary. Expect some twisty single track, a couple steepish climbs and some generally rooty/chunky trail sections. We will be posting the final route prior to the date, but expect aboout 3700 feet of elevation gain. The route back on Sunday, April 7 is identical (just a hell of a lot easier).
Our destination is the group lodge at Cloudland Canyon State Park- about half-a-mile from the final trail head on the route. The lodge has a kitchen, a controlable climate??, bunk beds, a fire ring and summer camp vibes in spades.
Your ticket price includes:
Coffee the morning of departure.
Transportation (by car) of one back-pack sized bag - and it's gotta be "carry-on" size.
One night stay at the group lodge (bunk beds, bathrooms and kitchen)
Dinner - provided at the lodge at the completion of the ride on Saturday.
Continental- style breakfast and Coffee on the morning of April 7 (Sunday.
A kinda difficult but rewarding ride.
Party vibez.
You're expected to provide:
Your own tools and tube replacement in the chance of a minor mechanical repair.
Your own snacks and hydration - We will make 2 seperate on-route resupply stops each way/day. We highly recommend bringing at least two water bottles.
Whatever gear you deem necessary for a comfortable night at the lodge. There are bunkbeds for ticket-holders but we recoommend bringing your trusted sleep system (pad, light sleeping bag, camp pillow etc.). Tents are not necessary as we will be sleeping inside.
Drinks you'd like to enjoy at camp - transported by car with the gear.
